YMCA St Annes were proud to open the doors on their brand new gym refurbishment to the community on Monday morning. The stylish new gym situated on St Alban’s Road was unveiled by British Boxing Champion Scott Cardle (pictured) during a soft launch for members and guests on Sunday.
The refurbishment sees the free weights section of the gym extended, improvements made to the air conditioning and the introduction of the latest generation of cardio equipment and technology from Life Fitness. The gym has everything you expect and more, including the new digital fitness experiences LFConnect and Lifescape where you can upload and track your progress via your mobile phone.
YMCA St Annes also bring the latest state of the art SYNRGY360 (pictured) training system. With multiple stations integrated into the equipment, YMCA St Annes will now offer a programme of motivational group personal training sessions. This versatile functional equipment provides the setting for a new social and energised dynamic, designed to enhance focus with exercises modified to personal fitness levels.
Dedicated space also means you can make the most out of the extensive selection of free weights powered by Hammer Strength. YMCA St Annes have joined an elite club and have been officially branded as a ‘Hammer Strength Performance Suite’.
British Lightweight Champion Scott said, “It was a pleasure to be part of this occasion and an honour to cut the ribbon to launch the new gym refurbishment. There are some fantastic pieces of equipment here that will cater for all abilities and fitness levels. With this new investment, you can clearly see that the YMCA have the health and wellbeing of the whole community at its heart. A lot of teamwork and planning has certainly paid off.”
Gareth Fegan, General Manager at YMCA St Annes added, “We would like to thank Scott for supporting us. He is a true advocate of local projects and charity work. We wish him the best of luck in his next fight after Christmas.
We are extremely pleased with the refurbishment and would like to thank all involved in making this project possible. It’s great to hear the positive feedback and so many people making full use of the new health and fitness experience at YMCA St Annes. We encourage more members of the local community to start their fitness journey with us. We are sure you will like it as much as we do.”
The £215k injection into the facility from YMCA Fylde Coast is the latest investment from the charity into its facilities. YMCA Lytham on Mythop Road recently underwent a £190k gym refurbishment in August.
