At YMCA Fylde Coast, we strive to provide the best experience for our members and communities. To ensure we maintain the highest standards for our members, we will be carrying out some facility improvements and essential maintenance across three of our Wyre leisure centres. Unfortunately these works will cause some disruption to service over the Christmas period and into mid – January. This will include some short term closures. We are confident that these refurbishments will provide an improved experience to all of our members and customers.
YMCA Fleetwood: Building a brand new dance studio and refurbishment of the pool environment. Please note, during the works of the dance studio, there will be disruption to some of the fitness provision.
YMCA Poulton: Refurbishment of the pool environment and heating. All other areas remain open.
YMCA Thornton: Installation of brand new sports hall flooring. All other areas remain open.

Dance Studio Start Date: 9th December 2024
Dance Studio Completion Date: 6th January 2025
Pool Refurbishment Start Date: 14th December 2024
Main Pool Reopening: 2nd January 2025
Learner Pool Reopening: 20th January 2025
YMCA Poulton
Refurbishment Dates: 14th December 2024 – 20th January 2025
YMCA Thornton (Sports Hall only)
Refurbishment Dates: 16th December 2024 – 4th January 2025
