Following £2+ million of Wyre Council investment, the first phase of the ambitious re-development at YMCA Poulton is about to be unveiled!
Monday 27th October will see the doors open on the brand new build state-of-the-art gym and purpose built, air conditioned, fitness class studio… all under one roof at the swimming and fitness centre for the first time.
The Latest Digital Fitness Experience – powered by Life Fitness and LFConnect
The new state-of-the-art gym will offer the next generation of Life Fitness cardio and resistance fitness equipment which features:
- LFConnect online and android and apple compatible technology: personalise your fitness experience, design your programmes, track your results and join the connected fitness community
- 19″ LCD touch screens with integrated cardio entertainment including T.V. and internet access while you workout
- Wide selection of programmes and challenges
- Immerse yourself in your workout with Lifescape interactive course routes
- Insignia Resistance kit includes integrated LFConnect QR codes to capture and track each element of your workout
Introducing the Synrgy Functional Training System
Prepare to supercharge your workout, as well as the atmosphere, with this exciting new addition to the gym.
Join your YMCA instructors as they take you through group personal training sessions using the multi-functional Synrgy stations.

New Purpose Built Class Studio
And now for the first time the team at YMCA Poulton can offer their diverse programme of fitness and relaxation classes and the Momenta Weight Management Programme alongside the swimming pool and gym and all under one roof!
The exciting class programme really does offer something for all fitness abilities throughout the week including pilates, Spinning (new bikes arriving too), Body Combat, Insanity, kettlebells and more!
