Ex-YMCA Housing Resident Graduates from UCLan

Ex-Foyer Resident Rebecca Graduates

One of our ex-residents at YMCA Foyer Fleetwood, Rebecca, has graduated off her Children and Young People’s Nursing degree, and has secured a outstanding first job at as a Staff Nurse on a Children’s Ward. Rebecca was a resident with us between 2018 and 2019, and she has worked exceptionally hard to get to the position she is in now, she is a true inspiration for all young people today.

Rebecca on her recent success at University:

“I just wanted to say thank you for all of your support from 2018 to 2019 whilst I lived in the Foyer. You provided a roof over my head, helped me through my mental health, and continued to encourage me to follow my dreams of becoming a nurse. I have now graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Children and Young People’s Nursing and I am currently working at my dream job as a Staff Nurse on the Children’s Ward. I couldn’t have made it where I am today without all of the support from the team. I hope it encourages another young people to keep following their dreams even when they are going through a tough time. Thank you!”

Rebecca, from everyone at YMCA Fylde Coast, a huge congratulations! It’s a proud moment for all members of staff to see you graduate and achieve such an amazing milestone in your life.
