About YMCA Garstang Pool

Garstang Swimming Pool was opened in 1974 to serve the local community and was funded by both the Council and local people. The pool is open for Public Swimming as well as helping children to swim though their Swimming Lesson Programme. It is used by over 18 Schools locally and also Garstang Gators Swimming Club. Aqua Aerobic Classes are available and the pool is also available for Private Hire including Swimming Birthday Parties.

Come and take a dive into our 20 metre swimming pool at YMCA Garstang. Our pool is fully equipped with heating, lane dividers and distance flags when required for laned swimming, spectators can watch from the windows overlooking while enjoying a light snack and refreshment. Rookie Lifeguard

Enhance your water skills to the max with our Rookie Lifeguard training sessions. Rookie Lifeguard training is a program designed to teach children essential water safety and basic rescue skills. It is a widely recognized and respected program that aims to prepare young people to become competent and confident in and around the water. Junior Activities

Our Swim England swimming lesson programme helps children learn a vital life skill which is especially important living on the beautiful Fylde Coast. All our swimming teachers are passionate about helping children improve their water safety, and with our Parent Portal you can follow your child’s progress from home as they work towards their badges and certificates!
