Customer Update – YMCA Kirkham

🚨Customer Update – Dec 10th 2021🚨

As you will be aware, the recent bad weather and high winds has caused severe damage to the infrastructure of YMCA Kirkham. A section of the roof over the swimming pool was breached on Saturday 4th December.

YMCA contractors and maintenance teams were on site quickly to assess the damage to the centre and make the site safe. Whilst this work continues, the centre will remain closed.

Payment Freeze

  • If you are paying for your membership by direct debit, you do not need to cancel. Your account will automatically be frozen during the closure, activating again once we reopen.
  • If you have paid for an annual membership, we will extend it by the length of time the centre is closed (dated from Sunday 5th December 2021)

Those paying by direct debit will be credited for December. This credit will be applied when the centre reopens.

You can of course choose to use one of our other YMCA centres across the Fylde Coast whilst YMCA Kirkham is closed. If you do choose this option, it will mean you will reactivate your YMCA membership and payments will no longer be frozen.

If you would like to reactivate your membership, please either contact the centre(s) you would like to use, or email us on memberships@fyldecoastymca.org

In the meantime, we’ll keep you updated via email, website and social media as and when we receive any further information about the centre.

We have loved seeing you back in our centres since we reopened our doors in May. We have been humbled by the communities’ response and would like to show our appreciation to our staff, members and customers who continue to work together tirelessly for the benefit of the local community. We thank you for your patience, dedication, and continued support.

Kindest Regards & Best Wishes for a Happy Christmas

🚨Customer Notice – Dec 4th 2021🚨

Unfortunately the storm today has done some severe structural damage to part of YMCA Kirkham Rural Splash

The centre will therefore be closed immediately until the area can be made safe. We will update you soon. We apologise for any inconvenience but safety is our priority. Thank you for your continued support as always ❤
