YMCA Fylde Coast Announcement – Tier 4 Restrictions

We hope you have had a lovely Christmas and we thank you for your continued support. We were looking forward to welcoming you back in 2021 with a fresh start and we are so sad to let you know that following the Government briefing on Wednesday 30th December, unfortunately all YMCA Fylde Coast centres will be closed to the general public from tomorrow (31st December). Lancashire will enter tier 4 restrictions from midnight which requires leisure centres, gyms and pools to close.

We have really enjoyed welcoming you into our centres again and this really isn’t how we wanted to start 2021. We hope you agree that our staff and COVID-Secure protocols have ensured a safe environment for you to workout in. Our centres are essential for the nation’s fight against this virus, for boosting our immunity, our mental health and for lessening health inequalities. We will be back to ensure that you continue on your journey with us.

Payment Freeze

  • If you are paying for your membership by direct debit, you do not need to cancel, your account will automatically be frozen during the tier 4 restrictions, until we reopen. Please note, we have NOT instructed your bank to collect the January 2021 payment.
  • If you have paid for an annual membership, we will extend it by the length of time the centres are closed from tier 4 restrictions.
  • If you have paid for a short term membership (including our Festive Fitness pass), we will extend it by the length of time the centres are closed from tier 4 restrictions.
  • If you have recently joined us in December 2020 via a direct debit membership, we will carry the December 2020 payment over when our centres reopen after the tier 4 restrictions.

We have been humbled to see the communities’ response and would like to show our appreciation to our staff, members and customers who have continued to work tirelessly to ensure our centres remain COVID-secure. We thank you for your patience, dedication and continued support

Look after yourselves and each other as we will continue to help in our communities in any way we can.

We wish you a Happy New Year under the circumstances

Healthy Regards and Stay Safe
