Nearly twelve months on and even more improvements are coming!
Almost a year on from the centre re-opening its doors following major redevelopment work even more improvements are on the way. The gym inside YMCA St Annes Pool & Gym is set to be refitted, refurbished and refreshed this October.
The team are getting really excited about what’s coming and want to share that excitement with everyone. So, coming soon to YOUR YMCA: a new generation of state-of-the-art Life Fitness gym equipment which includes:
- Treadmills, Cross-Trainers and Upright Bikes all with built in entertainment features
- Resistance Weight Machines
- Free Weights
- Functional Training Area
That’s not all!… Thanks to an additional £15,000 worth of investment, the gym will take on a whole new look too, with improvements to the ceiling, lighting and the general look and feel.
We anticipate that as a result of the works, the gym will be unavailable from 8.30pm Thursday 9th October. During the closure, please continue to use the gym at any of your YMCAs with the nearest situated on St Albans Road, St Annes.

We’re not stopping there!… More New Additions to the Programme:
The gym is not the only thing getting a fresh new makeover, our swimming programme is too. With brand new classes and programmes being added to give our memberships even more value and all customers even more choice. Here is what’s new and coming to you soon:
- NEW! – Aquababies for you and your baby age 6 months+: run by fully qualified ASA instructor and will help build your child’s confidence and teach them basic water skills. Tuesday 11am – 12pm and Thursday 12.30pm – 1.30pm.
- Coming Soon! – Rookie Lifeguards (8-14yrs): become a lifeguard of the future with this innovative new programme. Find out more about the Rookie Lifeguard Programme.
