Fitness Trends 2016: Womens Strength, Quick Workouts, Functional Training, This Girl Can Female Only Workouts

We have recently seen the rise of new female role models. Fitter, stronger women, focused on leading healthy lifestyles and shaping and toning the body they own rather than changing it and themselves.

YMCA fitness instructor Claire Nutton has observed this first hand: “Our ladies talk about feeling stronger and with that achieving a sense of wellbeing and positivity.

“They talk about being inspired by strong female athletes such as Olympian Jessica Ennis-Hill, Mixed Martial Arts Fighter Rhonda Rousey, Biggest Loser US Trainer Pauline Nordin and fitness model Andreia Brazier.

Why not get ready for the year ahead by joining YMCA Ansdell Arena’s Bootcamp! This four day bootcamp kicks off on Monday 11th January until Thursday 14th January, every morning from 6am until 7am (Changing Facilities Available 5.30am until 7.30am). So will you be tough enough to take on the challenge?

See out 2015 with a HUGE SPLASH! this New Year’s Eve.

YMCA Fleetwood are holding their first ever family Aquathlon Swim and Run Challenge on Thursday 31st December 2015.

The team are hoping for a great turnout of participants and spectators to mark the end of 2015 at the centre with a splash.

This year’s Aquathlon has also been listed on the Go Tri website meaning the event meets the required safety standards and has received a Triathlon England event permit.
