An Evening at Blackpool FC

An evening with BFC

Last month Fylde Coast YMCA attended the Blackpool FC business partners evening with Eleven Sports Media

As official 2022/23 Blackpool Football Club Partners, Fylde Coast YMCA attended the annual business partners evening at Bloomfield Road, alongside another eight BFC partners in attendance.

A wonderful evening kickstarted in the players tunnel and home dressing room, that was set up as if we’d just turned up for a Championship matchday, what a welcome! The perfect opportunity to catch up with our local partners.

We moved onto the 1953 suite soon after for a bite to eat and a Q&A with two ex-pros, Neil Eardley and Ciaran Donnelly whom offered an interesting insight into life as a footballer. Discussing their favourite career moments, the highs and lows of life as a pro, and their experience with certain managers (Ian Holloway and Graeme Sourness, to name a few) and the bright future ahead for The Seasiders.

Blackpool’s Commercial Manager, Martin Booker, recapped a successful and extremely busy past 4 years under new owner Simon Sadler. The return vs Southend, League One Play-Off promotion, new training ground facilities, redevelopment of the East Stand, and a sold out Bloomfield Road for two vital derby day wins. It’s been quite a journey since Simon Sadler came to Blackpool’s rescue.

A huge thank you to Blackpool Football Club and Eleven Sports Media for organising the event and a special evening.

All the best to Blackpool for the remainder of the Championship season, UTMP.
