Here’s a short video of one of our Sport Camp assistants, Joe, talking about his experience during the summer at YMCA Camp Potawotami over in the United States. Joe talks about how the leadership and various other skills he developed here at the YMCA Fylde Coast helped him to be a success at YMCA Potawotami. Joe also tells us about how he felt when the camp recognised his fantastic contribution by awarding him ‘Male Camp Counselor of 2019’.

A new £6.8m state-of-the-art school and youth centre at YMCA Lakeside in Cumbria has opened its doors to the public, following a seven-year redevelopment project.
The Stoller Campus at YMCA Lakeside, Newby Bridge, was officially opened yesterday by key benefactor Sir Norman Stoller CBE KStj DL.
The ceremony was also attended by the Lord Lieutenant of Cumbria, Mrs Clare Hensman, funders, contractors and supporters who have all helped to make the impressive project a reality.
