Virtual Trainer Programme
The Virtual Trainer Programme offers you the opportunity to really connect with your workout!
The Virtual Trainer website is free to use, improves your workout results, saves time and allows complete flexibility to customize your workouts to keep you motivated.
Using the latest Life Fitness training equipment at our new Y:Active Fitness Studios at St Annes YMCA, Lytham YMCA and Thornton YMCA along with a programmed USB (memory stick) band, you can:

1. Create a Workout via the Virtual Trainer website
Save time by choosing your workout before you get to the Fitness Studio. Via the homepage of this website you can log on to the Virtual Trainer website – www.VirtualTrainer.LifeFitness.com (you must set up a free user account on your first visit) to create a custom workout or alternatively use a recommended workout developed by a Certified Fitness Professional. You must set up a free user account on your first visit to the Virtual Trainer website.
Then having inserted the programmed USB into your computer you can download your chosen workout to the USB. Ready to use on the USB enabled equipment in the Y:Active Fitness Studios at St Annes YMCA, Lytham YMCA and Thornton YMCA.
2. Pick Your Equipment
Bring your USB band with your saved workout to the fitness studio and plug it into your chosen piece of Virtual Trainer enabled cardio equipment. Just ask a member of the fitness staff to assist you if you’re not sure.
3. Choose Your Workout
Once you have plugged your USB into the equipment your saved workout will appear on the screen. Select your workout and you’re off!
4. Start Exercising
Your average time, heart rate, distance, calories burned and speed will be recorded as you workout. A summary of your results will be displayed onto the screen and you can then also save your results to the USB to record your workout data.
5. View Progress
Connect the USB to your home computer or in the fitness studio and go back to the Virtual Trainer website to upload your workout results.
View previous workouts to see your progress and make changes to your routine to achieve the most out of every workout!
If you want to give it a go, but feel a bit daunted by it all, a member of the fitness team will gladly take you through the whole Virtual Trainer process.
