Inductions and Fitness Programmes

When you Join Us or begin to use our Y:Active Fitness Studios for the first time we’ll make sure you are booked in for an introduction session (induction) to the facility and the equipment.

YMCA Fitness Instructors are fully qualified to also develop fitness programmes for you, tailored to suit your current level of fitness and to help you reach your goals.

The Fitness Instructors will meet with you individually to gain a better understanding of what you want to get out of your workout. They will then design a programme with you based on your current health status (your body’s statistics – age, height, weight, Body Mass Index or BMI etc) and the health and fitness outcomes you would like to achieve.

You will then receive a Programme Card, so you have a handy record of your programme to follow each time you workout. BUT if you find that your programme is not enjoyable, too difficult or even boring, make sure you let us know so we can help.
