YMCA Maintenance Manager

Base: St Annes YMCA

Salary: £17,340 per annum

Hours: 37.5

Fylde Coast YMCA are seeking an enthusiastic, determined and innovative person to take on a challenging post working both indoors and out, balancing urgent repairs with minimum disruption to members and the general public.

The main focus of the role will include:

  1. To perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on YMCA Fylde Leisure buildings, mechanical and electrical equipment and utility systems..
  2. To perform minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment. Major servicing and repairs are carried out by outside contractors under supervision.
  3. To perform preventative maintenance procedures on buildings, mechanical and electrical equipment on a schedule basis, keeping records of all servicing, repairs and replacements.

The buildings comprise of leisure centres and swimming pools..

Membership Sales Advisor x 2

Base: Two separate posts based at Lytham YMCA and St Annes YMCA
Salary: £7.35 per hour plus commission
Hours: 20 hours x 2 posts (Full time joint role will be considered)

Lytham YMCA and St Annes YMCA are each seeking a highly motivated people person to provide high customer service within the Fylde Leisure area of Fylde Coast YMCA.

The main focus of the role will include:

  1. To interact with the public and welcome all users of the facilities.
  2. To promote a positive image in the facility by the provision of high quality customer service.
  3. To answer all telephone enquiries from prospect and current members.
  4. To ensure all prospective members are shown around the facility and encourage taking out the site membership.
  5. To drive and increase sales of memberships across the Fylde Leisure sites.
  6. To undertake regular outreach across the Fylde promoting Centre and Fylde Coast YMCA.

You should possess previous experience of working within a busy office environment. Excellent communication and organisation skills are also required.

Catering Supervisor at Harry’s Soft Play Area

Rate of Pay: £6.64 per hour / 37.5 hours per week

We have an amazing opportunity to offer the right individual the chance to join our team at St Annes YMCA inside Harry’s Indoor Soft Play Centre. Working 37.5 hour per week based on five days over a six day period (closed Monday), including weekend and early evening shifts.

You will be responsible for the daily running of the Café bar facility and the supervision of the Harry’s team; ensuring the safety of children within the soft play area, meeting budgets, assisting with the development of the facility, assisting with staff retention and training, along with maintaining a high level of record keeping for all areas of the Harry’s.

You will require previous experience working a catering environment and have a minimum of 12 months supervisory experience in a similar role or equivalent. Ideally you will posses a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2, although training will be given in your attainment of this certificate if you do not currently posses this qualification. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a fully enhanced criminal records check.

Physical Activity Referral Officer

Base: Poulton-le-Fylde
Salary: £18,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Job Share will be considered)
Fixed Term until 31st March 2013 (Potential future funding to extend)

Fylde Coast YMCA are seeking a highly motivated people person to help with the delivery of the Y:Active GP and Cardiac Rehab Referral Programmes.

The main focus of the role will involve delivery of consultations to referred clients and the design and implementation of tailored physical activity programmes. Working across Fylde and Wyre the post holder will also take some responsibility for the monitoring and evaluation of adult physical activity programmes. Typical duties include:

  • To undertake client consultations and identify appropriate physical activity opportunities
  • To provide health assessments to clients on adult referral programmes
  • To work with local GP practices to promote the Y:Active Referral Programme and keep referring partners informed of scheme developments
  • To use motivational interview techniques to maximise adherence rates.
  • Explore innovative, new ways of delivering on the adult physical activity agenda
  • Tracking and supplying monitoring and evaluation information for the formation of reports
  • Assisting with the promotion of Fylde Coast YMCA health and physical activity programmes

You should possess at least two years experience of working within the field of health and physical activity. Excellent communication and organisational skills are also required.

This role will require CRB clearance.
