Y:Active Fitness Studios
All of our fitness studios offer a wide range of cardio, resistance and free weights equipment. Some of our centres also have IFI (Inclusive Fitness Industry) approved training equipment. We have recently introduced, new state-of-the-art equipment into the completely refurbished fitness studios at Lytham YMCA, St Annes YMCA, Thornton YMCA, Poulton YMCA and now Rural Splash YMCA!
Our other Fitness Studios are located inside; Fleetwood YMCA, Garstang YMCA and St Annes YMCA Pool and Gym.
State of the Art Equipment
We recently invested in the next generation of fitness and training equipment at our St Annes, Lytham, Thornton YMCA and Poulton YMCAs.
This equipment includes
Power Plates and new and interactive Life Fitness cardio entertainment training equipment which offers i-pod and USB Virtual Trainer Programme connectivity.

The i-pod docking stations available on the new Life Fitness cardio equipment, means that not only can you listen to your favourite workout tunes, you can also upload and watch your own i-pod track list on the screen built into your chosen piece of cardio kit (video option available at St Annes and Lytham YMCAs).
The USB technology is a huge leap forward, bringing your personal workout programme to life inside the fitness studio and at home! Working in sync with Life Fitness’s Virtual Trainer Programme software, you can upload your personal training programme onto the cardio equipment and then check your progress at home (or in the Fitness Studio) through the Virtual Trainer website. Access into all of our Y:Active Fitness Studios is included as standard in the following membership packages:

- Y:Active Silver (Off Peak) Premium
- Y:Active Student
- Y:Active Family Membership
Y:Active Garstang Only and Y:Active Rural Splash Only members can access the fitness studios within their chosen centre and all other fitness studios at member rates. Check out Memberships To Suit You for more details.
All other members can access any of the Y:Active Fitness Studios at member rates. And access is also available to non members on a Pay as You Go basis.
